Before the adoption, you must evaluate the advantages and inconvieniences such an adoption will bring to your life. Remember that you voluntarily take over a responsibility and with it certain duties which will be yours for life and which you cannot just dismiss like you would do with a piece of furniture. You will have the moral duty to keep it.

• How much time will I have for it?
• Do I have anough room?
• Is the whole family in agreement?
• Persons with an allergy?
• Will you be able to take care of it when it becomes ill?
• What will you do with it during your holidays?
• Will you be able to afford all corresponding expenses?
• Will you do the necessary so that your life together will be good?
• Do you know your local instructions for the keeping of animals?
• Do you know the legal duties you are taking over?
